Concept Learning Scientific Experimentation and Theorizing
stimulus attributes or dimensions independent variables
particular stimulus particular combination of experimental conditions
corrective feedback empirical results
hypothesized rule (that describes the concept and can predict the corrective feedback) hypothesized theory (that describes reality and can predict the empirical results)
selection paradigm for choosing stimuli choosing conditions of (i.e., designing) an experiment
conservative focussing strategy NOT like science, because scientists don't know in advance whether the correct theory is a conjunctive rule.
